National Milk Records share scam

Shareholders are being warned about attempts from individuals trying to get them involved in a boiler room scam.

UK Banknotes

Boiler room fraud involves bogus stockbrokers cold calling people to pressure them into buying shares that promise high returns. In reality the shares are either worthless or non-existent.

Several shareholders in National Milk Records Plc have been approached by people purporting to represent a company called Apollo Tiger Fund Plc. Attempts have been made by these people to persuade shareholders to enter into transactions regarding their National Milk Records shares.

Apollo Tiger Fund Plc is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 to conduct a regulated activity in the UK.

Protect yourself from boiler room fraud

If you’re suspicious about a scheme’s authenticity, you should investigate the company’s status and contact details. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulates stockbrokers based in the UK and you can check a stockbroker’s authenticity by contacting the FSA.

If you have been a victim of any boiler room fraud, report it to Action Fraud.
