The Metropolitan Police are warning people to be aware of fraudsters selling fake Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets online.
Operation Sterling issued the warning following evidence that tickets are being sold on the websites of secondary ticket agents.
Tickets for the event have been on sale from 1st January 2014. Police are warning people to only purchase tickets and packages from the official Rugby World Cup 2015 website.
If you don’t buy your ticket through the official channel, and it turns out to be a fake or never arrives, you risk being left out of pocket and not being able to get to a match.
When buying tickets online remember paying by credit card offers better protection than with other methods in terms of fraud, guarantees and non-delivery – so if you’ve got one and the seller accepts it, use it.
